Hi! I’m Liz Marsh.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Art Therapist, and Certified Group Psychotherapist with over twenty years of experience. My clients are diverse in their experiences and identities as well as in the challenges that they are working to overcome. I am particularly interested in working with people who are trying to make the world a better place: healers, artists, and social justice warriors. People often come to me when they’re in a life transition or have the feeling that their tried and true ways of approaching the world just aren’t working anymore. I can help you get more of your needs met in all facets of your life.

In my practice, Individual therapy has the ability to help us release the challenges that we hold tight. I promise to destigmatize and demystify the change process through my own transparency and the therapeutic relationship, which is about more than just support or comfort. After moving through this process of one on one transformation, many of my clients continue on to group therapy. In this space, caring and committed community members create room to practice the relationships that can be difficult to navigate, give one another feedback from diverse perspectives, and open up new pathways for healing – working together.

My passion for relational therapy began as a counselor supporting wilderness therapy expeditions. Watching people see themselves clearly for the first time through this combination of group therapy, experiential therapy, and skill-learning opened up my mind. It gave me a clear picture of how relationships can transform a person’s connection with themselves in deep and long lasting ways. Seeing participants face their challenges, explore different roles, and see themselves with clarity through their peers’ eyes inspired me to harness group therapy as part of my therapeutic offerings.

My love of the expressive arts began early. Creating artwork has been part of my personal reflection and self-care since I was a young child. Without realizing it, I have always appreciated and benefited from the meditative qualities of creativity and play. Not only does art therapy create that meditative and cathartic space to explore and grow, but it also inspires reflection and room for considering different ways of navigating the world. As I continue to explore ways to deepen my clinical work, art continues to reveal itself as a powerful tool for supporting clients.

As a white person living in the United States, I have inherited tremendous unearned privilege and have been indoctrinated into a system where I benefit both directly and indirectly from an established racial hierarchy. I take seriously my responsibility to unlearn the tenets of that system, and to rebuild my understanding of the world in ongoing conversation with historically marginalized viewpoints.

Hi, I’m Chris Luckett.

I’m a licensed graduate social worker and I have always loved talking to people about who they are, what motivates them, and the struggles they face.

I'm passionate about working with individuals and couples to help them understand how their experiences and relationships sometimes leave them feeling disappointed, unfulfilled, or lonely. With that understanding they’re empowered to make changes that break unproductive patterns, reduce conflict, improve communication, and ultimately lead to more fulfilling, better integrated lives.

My approach to therapy is rooted in a relational model that balances personal agency with the impact that other people and systems have on us. We work together to identify your specific goals and the issues that have, so far, prevented you from realizing them. Along the way, I will be curious, compassionate, and understanding of who you are. Supportive and challenging when each is helpful. I firmly believe that you already have all the answers. My job is to formulate the questions that lead to better self-awareness and understanding. We learn from one another, and our relationship provides a framework within which discovery, growth, and healing occurs.

As a straight, white, cis man, I’m aware - as much as I can be - of the privilege that society bestows on my identities. In my work, I strive to acknowledge my privilege and the ways in which my clients who hold different identities from mine will have experienced the world differently.

I received a Masters of Social Work from Catholic University of America, after a prior 20-year career in commercial real estate and corporate operations.

At the moment you may be feeling confused, aggravated, or helpless. For some people, it could be related to a work or relationship transition. For others it may have to do with their family. If you feel that my approach could help you with whatever difficulty you’re facing, I invite you to email or call me. We’ll work together to determine whether we’re a good fit for one another. If we are, I’ll look forward to working with you, and if we’re not, I’ll be happy to refer you to a colleague with whom I think you’ll be a better match.

I practice under the clinical supervision of Liz Marsh, LICSW.
